Camera Clicks – Flower of the Day – Plumeria

This is my first Red plumeria flower so far and as you can see from the picture there are a few more to come. It has a nice Honeysuckle smell, no wonder moths are attracted to it.

Here is what Wikipedia says about plumeria: “Plumeria flowers are most fragrant at night in order to lure sphinx moths to pollinate them. The flowers yield no nectar, however, and simply trick their pollinators. The moths inadvertently pollinate them by transferring pollen from flower to flower in their fruitless search for nectar.

    1. The process is amazing isn’t it? I am addicted to that little click sound! Sometimes you just can’t get the picture to accurately show what your eye sees, that’s the challenge . Thanks so much for your comment!
