Camera Clicks – Castillo de San Marcos – Graffiti at the Fort

As I’ve mentioned, there were a few things that really stood out to me while taking pictures: The structure of the Fort, The incredibly detailed Canons and their many varieties, the Graffiti (yes you heard that right and its not really what you think…well sort of)…

Drawings, Bullet holes, and tags from the 1800s all etched into the stone walls…and as I stand there, I am thinking of the historical magnitude that from the 1500s to 2020 a whole 520 years just how much has changed in the world and this place still exists so that we may learn about the people that made it so…………….

Camera Clicks – Castillo de San Marcos – Cannons

As I said in my previous post, there were a few things that stood out to me and these cannons were one of them.

First thing that grabs my attention is the amazing color or patina.

Second is their many different sizes; you learn during your visit here their different purposes and uses.

The thing that is mesmerizing to me is the incredible detail; someone spent many hours creating the whole piece but the intricate designs that adorn them are just incredible.

Saint Augustine is the oldest City in Florida and you can’t go there without visiting the Fort.

There were a few things that really stood out to me while taking pictures: The structure of the Fort, The incredibly detailed Canons and their many varieties, the Graffiti (yes you heard that right and its not really what you think…well sort of) and the Sassy Pigeons that begged to be photographed….

but first, the Fort
